Overview of Pragati Scholarship scheme

Pragati Scholarship is a funding initiative started in 2014 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India. The All India Council is now administering the plan for Technical Education to assist and encourage female students who aspire to explore diploma or degree programmes in technology and engineering professions.

The Pragati Scholarship scheme was established with a single goal in mind: to provide female students with the information and skills they need to achieve a successful and lucrative career.

Every year, approximately 4000 scholarships are awarded. Around 2000 scholarships are awarded to students studying technical diploma courses, while the remaining 2000 are awarded to students who want to pursue technical graduate courses.

Document required for the Pragati Scholarship?

  • Mark sheet for the 10th Board or Senior School Certificate (SSC).
  • Mark sheet for the 12th Board test or Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).
  • The Centralized Admission Authority issued an admission letter to first-year Degree/Diploma programmes for 2017-18 based on the Annual Family Income Certificate.
  • Invoice for university tuition paid for the academic year.
  • Scanned copy of an Aadhar-seeded bank passbook with the student’s name, account number, IFSC code, and photographs placed in the proper area, officially signed by the manager and stamped with the bank’s rubber stamp.
  • Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/HOD by Annexure-II
  • Certificate provided by Competent Authority in the event of applicants seeking Saksham Scheme by State Government Format.
  • A scanned copy of the ST/SC/OBC certificate has been attested.
  • Parents must sign a statement indicating that the details provided by their kid are true and that the Scholarship amount will be refunded if proven to be incorrect at any time, as per Annexure-III.
  • Aadhar Card printed copy.
  • A scanned copy of the applicant’s picture is required.
  • The candidate’s signature has been scanned.

Remember:

  • Most scanned papers should be submitted in jpg/pdf/png format.
  • The total file size of all scanned papers will be less than 200kb.

Essential Pragati Scholarship Guidelines?

  • The following should be considered for applying for the Pragati scholarship: This scholarship is available to qualifying scholars who have begun the first week of their degree/diploma course in the current academic year.
  • After filling out the online application, a copy of the applicant’s passport-size photo and signature must be uploaded in.jpg/.pdf/.png format. The photo file size should not exceed 200 kb, and the signature file size must not exceed 50 kb.
  • Applicants who were admitted through the management quota are ineligible for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship.
  • Applicants must have their savings account at a bank. They are not permitted to utilize the FRILL/MINOR/JOINT accounts.
  • DBT is a technique of quickly putting the scholarship payment into the selected candidate’s bank account.
What are the Pragati Scholarship economic advantages and reward systems?

The AICTE has awarded a maximum of 4000 Pragati scholarships. In this, 2000 scholarships are given to diploma students, whereas the remaining 2000 are given to degree students. The following information is presented in-depth about the scholarship amount:

  • A tuition fee waiver—the scholarship amount is INR 30,000.
  • This sum is intended to cover the following expenses:
  • Charges for equipment
  • Charges for purchasing a laptop and software
  • Purchase fees for desktop computers

  • Competitive test costs, other higher education exam fees, job program expenses, and other costs
  • Contingency grant amount – INR 2000 each month to be carried over for ten months

How do you apply for the Pragati Scholarship Scheme?

Students who satisfy the qualifying requirements can apply for the Pragati Scholarship by following the processes outlined below.

  • If you have already enrolled, log in with your credentials.
  • To register as a new user, use the “Register here” option on Official Website web portal login Link.

  • Fill out the form and click “Register.
  • The enrolled email address will get a verification email with a link. Read your emails for registration confirmation.
  • After everything has been confirmed, go to the login page and log in with your user name and password.

Pragati Scholarship Scheme Renewal

  • Candidates can upload their documents by log in portal from their registered User ID & Password
  • For submitting the renewal application following document will be required.
  • Promotion Certificate: Promotion Certificate with duly signed by the Head of the Institution on the letterhead of the institution.
    Tuition Fee Receipt and Miscellaneous Fee Receipt: purchase of Books/ / Laptop/ Desktop/ Vehicle/ Equipment/ Software’s/ Fee paid towards competitive examination etc.
  • Document size not more than 2 MB and should be in “.pdf” “.jpg” or “.jpeg” format.
  • Before submitting renewal application, students are advised to ensure that promotion certificate, tuition fee receipt, miscellaneous fee receipt etc. have been uploaded correctly.
  • Last date for submission of application is 30th November 2021.

Pragati Scholarship Scheme is one of the most effective initiatives launched by the government. These initiatives offer a particular reservation to the reserved categories.

Like AICTE provides a 15% quota for SC candidates, a 7.5 per cent reserve for ST candidates, and a 27 per cent reserve for OBC candidates/applicants.
